Dotflac Recollections from a trek around Iceland, Remnants pictures its arctic, mineral and ruthless landscapes.

Restrained tracks made of droning guitars and evasive field recordings are now enhanced by stronger and more uplifting melodic parts. But while Remnants is, unlike their self-titled debut, more inspired by reality, it doesn't prevent them to soften memories thanks to their personal quest of minimalism.

Hotel Neon shows us the light, but leaves us walk the path towards it on our own. Favorite track: Chains.

Berkdrums What an awesome surprise this one!! Agree with all the other comments here.., also the Hammock-influence, but Hotel Neon for sure has found their own style, just breathtaking, uplifting... the depth of all the pieces is incredible... I can only say: more of this please!! Favorite track: Chains.

"Remnants" is a tribute to sentiment - a nostalgic reflection on the power of our fondest memories, inspired in large part by a remarkable journey around the Ring Road of Iceland in 2015. Field recordings and layers of texture from a variety of sound sources evoke the overwhelming stillness and comfort found in those desolate arctic places.
